Our Mission
We want to bring quality manufactured rider garments to market and to ensure that no shortcomings are allowed to reach the final product. We achieved this using quality materials that are assembled correctly, and by not skimping on Kevlar and CE certified armour. Too often we have witnessed inferior, sub standard garments passed off as quality garments, but Taurus Bike Gear is different, Taurus Bike Gear do things better.
James Lawson
As a life long motorbike rider in my 5th decade of riding I never imagined that my extensive knowledge and experience of all things motorbiking would be anything other than a pleasurable way of seeing the world. For me, my journey on two wheels started back in 1985 and the lure of speed, the smell of petrol and oil was too much to resist, I was hooked. Nowadays the joy of riding for me is to escape from the world and all its problems and focus on the ride. “Ride To Heal” is my mantra and only by riding do I manage to clear my head, relax and float down stream on a wave of corner carving and bursts of acceleration. An addiction if you like, but one that soothes the soul.

With 8 years experience at the coal face of motorcycle garment manufacturing and having studied in London to obtain a degree in fashion design, I knew that a regular job was not for me. I wanted something that would fulfil my effort in fashion design, something that I could connect with and knowing the industry so well I decided that developing a brand would be my ultimate goal. I had seen many so called expensive brands sell purely on the brand label and yet they cut corners on safety. This infuriates me and is another reason for bringing Taurus Bike Gear to life. Together with co founder James, we are the unlikely pairing however we are united in our approach to bring you everything you need and nothing you don’t.
